Staying current about design trends and knowledgeable about innovative techniques requires that serious attention be given to trade magazines, professional organizations and educational opportunities. This knowledge in combination with an instinctive talent for color and layout allows us to provide the customer with design options, visualization of the outcome and a finished product that surpasses expectations.
	Custom framing is always a sizable investment simply because it takes time, labor and materials. An individual makes this investment not only to visually enjoy a piece of artwork or memorabilia, but also to protect it. If high quality materials are used, the investment will last a lifetime. If not, the colors will fade and the artwork or prized possession will be damaged. At Village Frame & Gallery, we apply only the highest standards to the components of custom framing. When we set up shop in 1999, we decided that our offering to the public would be "high quality at a reasonable price". For that reason, we only offer glass with ultra-violet protection. Our mat board and backing board create an acid-free environment and our mounting techniques are completely reversible, using only rice paper hinges or acrylic corners. The only exception is with the handling of reproductions that can be easily replaced; we might vaccum mount or permanently adhere the print but would still utilize high quality materials to insure the maintenance of color and longevity of the investment.
