Julie Rall

Artist reception, Friday, October 2, 2026 from 5:30pm-8pm

October 2nd- November 24th, 2026

Join us for wine and light refreshments on Friday, October 2nd from 5:30pm-8pm to celebrate the work of artist Julie Rall. Rall’s ethereal works on acrylic draw the viewer in with layers of paint and pigment that seem to glow from within. Although abstract in form, the works invite the imagination to consider rainy landscapes, waterfalls and rivers.

We hope to see you there!

Artist Statement

I work with the alchemy of materials to create poetic places. I am concerned with how fluid paint pours, pulls, clumps, and settles across acrylic panels and paper, how materials fold, layer, and spread out over each other and how materials respond to gravity, surface, and time. My work, when I start out on a piece, seems to fly at first, but as it develops, it becomes fastened to the material world.

The Long Track of the Moon, 12″x26″, Oil,alkyd and powdered pigment on Acrylic

The atmosphere of a space and the materials I use are my collaborators, I let their physical properties: texture, weight, mass, and patina show me where I need to go in my work. In my art, I like to see what happens—to follow the materials, the light, and the language toward something that feels both grounded and transcendent.
